Meet the Librarian

My name is Alison, and I'm an elementary school substitute teacher and writer from Wheaton, IL. I've read lots of literature, but for some reason, all my favorite books are written for kids and teenagers. Whenever I find a good book, the first thing I want to do is tell other people to read it. So, whether you're a fourth grader just starting to explore genres, a high schooler who's run out of good books to read, or a parent looking for a birthday gift, these recommendations are for you!

Fun fact: my nickname is Aligator (with one L, just like my real name), and that's why I decided to call my website "The Alligator's Bookshelf."
